Fender Custom Shop 2018 Black Roasted Dual-Mag Stratocaster Relic 2017 Limited Edition

“The Black Roasted Dual-Mag Stratocaster Relic” model was produced as part of a limited series called the "Limited Edition 2017 Mid-Year Collection" to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Fender Custom Shop in 2017.

Both the alder body and quarter-sawn maple neck have been roasted, and the weather checks and dents have been recreated with relic treatment to give it an outstanding vintage look.

The neck shape is a slightly thicker 60's style oval C-shaped grip, and the fingerboard is made from AAA grade Rosewood with a 9.5R-12R compound radius.

The pickups are equipped with hand-wound "Dual-Mag Strat" pickups signed "LD".

The "Dual-Mag Strat" uses two types of magnets: an Alnico magnet pole piece for a sweeter, warmer sound on strings 1-3 and an Alnico magnet for a clearer sound on strings 4-6.

It originally had a black pickguard and back panel, but was replaced with a 3-ply white pickguard and white back panel (original not included).

There are several scratches on the back of the neck that are not due to the relic process.

There is almost no fret wear, and no problems with the neck and truss rod.
