Description

If you are a Tele Thinline lover, always looking for a special example, read on. Offered is this marvelous Custom Shop Tele Thinline built by Master Builder Chris Flemming in 2004.

This guitar has a two piece Ash body with Closet Classic aging and a clear nitrocellulose lacquer finish. The aging consists of a few light dings and lots of finish checking, including checking on the lacquered Bakelite pickguard. The guitar's total weight is just 6.5 pounds. The Maple neck is nicely flamed and has a large 50's C shape with depth measurements of .90" at the 1st fret and .97" at the 12th fret. The fretboard radius is 9.5", the frets are 6105's and the bone nut has a width of 1.650". The electronics include a pair of Custom Shop Nocaster single coils, volume, tone, a three-way switch and modern wiring.

Pick this beauty up and you know after just a few notes that it is special. It is more lively than your typical Telecaster and it plays with superb ease. The tone is classic Tele "spank" with a touch of additional woodiness. Check out the provided sound sample and hear for yourself. The custom neck on this guitar is a big C, not U-shaped and feels great.

The authentic factory aging gives it a vintage vibe that you will love. The finish is well worn, but not overly beat up. The frets remain in great condition. It comes in it's original G&G tweed case along with the certificate of authenticity, the ash tray bridge cover and various other accessories.
