Fender Custom Shop 2006 Custom Telecaster Thinline NOS
The “Custom Telecaster Thinline NOS” was created based on the concept of what the Thinline, first produced in 1968, would have looked like in the 1950s.
Designed by Chris Fleming, the senior master builder at the time, this model combines the distinctive look of the '51 Nocaster and Thinline.
It features a one-piece maple neck and ash body like the Nocaster, as well as a serialized bridge plate and "Fender" decal. Meanwhile, the large pickguard and semi-hollow body with f-holes are reminiscent of the Thinline.
The neck has a slightly thicker V-shape, the fingerboard radius is 9.5R, and the frets are wide jumbo type frets.
The pickups are custom-wound models designed by Chris Fleming.
There are some weather checks on the body due to age, a paint flake by the f-hole and some tiny dents and scratches all over the body. There is also a scratch on the top from picking.
The frets have been rubbed together, with about 70% remaining, and the neck and truss rod are in good condition.
The certificate is missing.
