Fender Custom Shop 2024 Limited 70th Anniversary 1954 Stratocaster Heavy Relic
This limited edition “1954 Stratocaster Heavy Relic" model was produced to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Stratocaster.
This model was exhibited at the Custom Shop's Asia-only event. It features an over-layer of Canary Yellow finish on a 2-tone Sunburst, and the relic process reproduces peeling paint and clear weather checks.
It features a two-piece ash body and one-piece maple neck, as well as rounded pickup covers, and knobs in different shapes, all of which are reproduced to the 1954 specifications. The neck plate has a special engraving, and the model has other unique specifications.
The neck has a slightly thicker 07/54 Soft "V" shape, based on the Stratocaster neck produced in July 1954. It has a 7.25R-9.5R compound radius fingerboard and narrow-tall type frets for improved playability.
The pickups are hand-wound 54 STRAT pickups signed "BP".
There is no fret wear and no problems with the neck or truss rod.
