2019 Master Built Custom 1961 Telecaster Lush Closet Classic by Dennis Galuszka
The Custom 1961 Telecaster Lush Closet Classic model was built by master builder Dennis Garzka.
It is a reissue of a 1961 Custom Telecaster with a double-bound body and slab-laminated rosewood fingerboard, featuring the "Lush Closet Classic" finish introduced in the 2017 Custom Collection, which replicates the condition of guitars that have been cared for to keep them clean, but have developed cracks in the paint and slight clouding of the metal parts over time.
It is finished in a thin, Relic-like finish, buffed to a NOS-like shiny finish, and also features a thinner paint than the regular 'Closet Classic'.
The fingerboard is made of dark 3A grade rosewood, the quarter-sawn maple neck is a narrow 60 Style Oval C shape, and the pickups are equipped with hand-wound "63 TELE", signed by Josefina Campos.
The frets are slightly dented, mainly on the plain strings and in the low position, but there is about 90% remaining overall, and the neck and truss rod are both in good condition.
