Fender Custom Shop 2006 MBS Tribute Series Eric Clapton “Blackie” Stratocaster by Greg Fessler
The Tribute Series Eric Clapton Blackie Stratocaster was produced in a limited edition of 275 pieces worldwide.
This model is a detailed and complete reproduction of Eric Clapton's famous Stratocaster, known as the "Blackie", which he used from 1973 to 1985, and was built by Greg Fessler.
It was also the highest ever sold at Christie's Auctions in 2004 at $959,500.
The guitar has the same paint peeling and cigarette burn marks on the headstock as the original, as well as the replaced 3-string bridge saddle, sealding on the back of the pickguard and grey bobbin pickups, and the replaced 1-string tuners.
The frets are slightly dented in some areas, mainly in the low position of the plain strings, but overall there is about 80-90% remaining, and the neck and truss rod are in working order.
It comes complete with all accessories, making it a perfect collector's item.
