Just in from a private collection, this very early 1962 model is the perfect example of a "Slab Board" Fender Esquire! The large "C" shaped neck from December '61 is one of our favorite Fender neck profiles, and this guitar plays phenomenally all the way up the slab Rosewood fingerboard with clay dot inlays. The original "See-thru Blonde" finish has the kind of vintage patina that can't be replicated, and with early features like a "Spaghetti" Fender logo, single ply white pickguard, and single line Kluson tuners, this is a perfect guitar for anyone looking for an early rosewood board Esquire. These are definitely some of our favorite sounding electric guitars; the single pickup is extremely raunchy and surprisingly versatile.
