1962 Fender Jazz Bass Olympic White

Refinished over 30 years ago in Olympic White. Not slab but later curved Brazilian rosewood board, came to us with original pickups and pots in a bag. The original control plate has 3 holes in it (don’t ask, we don’t know). Otherwise really charming as the finish has yellowed and has a few honest dings. Original pickguard, tuners, neck plate, logo, and original hard case. This finish? Fool your friends. Looking closer you’ll see a small cutaway in the control cavity from the previous owner’s switches. He loved this bass and kept the original pickups (original windings), these sound fantastic. You can see the pots are dated the 37th week of 1962 and have their original tone cap. These older refins are what you’d hope for, looking original. Gorgeous neck with some flame and original Brazilian board. The original thumbrest, pickguard, and nickel covers are a testament to the previous owner’s care even though it was converted to “modern” 1980s electronics for a decade or two. Resonant and a buttery-smooth neck will make you want to keep it for decades as well. With original hard case.
