Beautiful example of the last-best Jazz Bass in Fender’s 1st Custom Color, the classic Candy Apple Red Metallic finish w/a matching Headstock, great feeling unbound Dot inlaid neck dated May 1965, cool White pickgard, has a decent amount of play time as it plays incredible, its cream & gold metallic colored base coats show thru its wear spots, its original gray bottom pickups are in the case & it sports a set of powerful replacement pickups, pot codes date this beauty to the 28th week of 1965, this Bass is the “bomb” & has a fabulous patina & still retains a bright accurate color not faded over time as most of these CAR guitars & basses are in general, it is all original other than reinstalling its original gray bottom pickups in place of a pair of Duncan's, excellent overall condition, comes with its original black hard case.
