This killer looking vintage, Pre CBS Jazzmaster has been refinished by Joe Riggio, a friend who has become one of the top vintage guitar restoration specialists in the country.
At 7 pounds, 7.5 ounces, this is a light example of a vintage Jazzmaster.
Joe uses era correct finish products in his process, and he nails the color of all of our favorite vintage guitars. His Gibson Goldtop finish formulation was more correct to Gibson's vintage coloration, which brought them knocking on his door so they could get back to the vintage look of their own Les Pauls.
This is my third Riggio refin in stock. Check out our 1965 Fender Stratocaster and 1968 Fender Telecaster with the Bigsby. Joe nailed them all, incliding the expert relicing.
Both the neck and body have been refinished on this guitar. The neck pencil date was retained in the process. Joe applied the logo - a perfect job.
All the parts are original with the exception of the knobs and the switch tip, and the frets have been replaced as well.
The guitar sets up very nicely and plays superbly. The truss rod is fully effective and will be ready for future neck relief adjustments, if needed.
The original case is included. There were some other latches on it at one time, but otherwise it is in nice shape.
