1973 Fender Mustang Competition Red

Recently purchased from the original owners family.
Most likely one of the last Competition Mustangs produced in 73, as it has factory double string trees.
All original with the exception of the input jack.
Neck & frets are excellent (lived with flatwounds most of its life), straight & truss rod functions as it should.
The body has some nicks & dings here & there.
The pearloid pickguard shows picking / strumming area of wear.
Pots date 73.
Electronics work as they should.
Missing trem bar (easy to get) but the all important set screw is intact !
All in all a really nice guitar ready for the stage !
Comes with an earlier silver Mustang case.
Both side latches are broken, but center latch is intact.
