Description

Summary: As the first production model bass guitar, the Fender Precision bass was an absolutely revolutionary instrument upon its introduction in 1951. This classic bass guitar is from 1975 & it sounds as good as it looks. The wood is beautiful & this baby plays great up & down the fingerboard.

Body: Solid body, double cutaway P-Bass

Neck: One piece maple neck with a skunk stripe down the back, maple fingerboard, 20 frets, black dot inlays. The frets have been replaced in the past & they have plenty of life left in them. This P-Bass has a 34” scale length & a nut width of 1 11/16”.

Pickups/Hardware: Single coil P-Bass pickup, one volume knob, one tone knob, chrome hardware, open back Fender tuning keys, black Fender logo with 4 Pat #’s.

Cosmetics: This vintage Fender does have normal wear associated with a bass from the mid-1970s. There are lots of scratches on the pickguard and some scratches on the top of the body. This bass has some wear around the edges of the headstock & some dings & nicks on the body as well. The fretboard has a few places where the finish has chipped & various dings along the edges near the frets. The back of the bass has lots of buckle rash but you really have to look at it in the lights to see it because the natural finish hides a lot of the wear. There are 2 holes where the bridge cover was removed and two holes near the pickup where the pickup cover had once been. This bass is missing the bridge cover & the pickup cover.

Playability: We set this bass up with 45-100 bass strings & did a full setup on it – this old Fender plays great up & down the fingerboard. The action is low & the neck is straight!

Modifications: This instrument has a replacement pickguard

Weight: 11 lbs, 0 oz.
