Description

The Fender Precision Bass is arguably one of the most influential musical instruments ever designed, allowing full bands to be portable and as loud as necessary. Introduced in 1951 with a slab body, one single coil pickup and a Tele-style headstock, in 1957 the design streamlined into what we know today - a contoured body, larger headstock, and split, hum-cancelling pickup. For its simplicity, the Precision Bass is an extremely versatile and durable instrument.

This Fender Precision bass is in original condition and dates to 1965 - the date on the neck is 5JUN65. It's had some maintenance over the years, fret wear is light, and it plays well. The finish is worn in all the ways you'd expect from an over-50 year old bass, and the neck is very comfortable. A Fender case from 1973 is included.
