This 1970 Fender Princeton Reverb walked into the shop yesterday and immediately got my attention.  It had been sitting in storage for years, so to the bench it went for a full inspection.

A quick cleaning revealed its true self, emerging from a decent layer of dust as a clean example. The original US made tube compliment was in place.  We tested them all and they passed, so they are there for your enjoyment.

I replaced all the electrolytic capacitors and added a grounded power cable (the original parts are included, except for the original power cable).  We cleaned the pots, tube sockets, and jacks. There was a not-so-great, 1980s Pyle Driver speaker installed.  I swapped that for a recent Jensen speaker.  An aftermarket footswitch will be included with the amp.

Everything works just as it should.  The amp runs strong with a low noise floor.

There are several reasons why this is the most popular vintage amp - low weight, great tone at low volumes, reverb and tremolo on board to name the top few.

This 1970 Fender Princeton Reverb is a true vintage gem from the early silver panel era, delivering the iconic clean tone, lush reverb, and rich tremolo that have made it a favorite among studio musicians and collectors alike. With 12 to 15 watts of all-tube power, it's perfect for recording, home use, and small gigs—offering sparkling cleans at lower volumes and smooth breakup when pushed.

This amp features its original transformers, vintage 10" speaker (specify model if original or upgraded), and classic silverface cosmetics. The legendary built-in spring reverb and tremolo remain fully functional and lush. Whether you're a Fender aficionado or just chasing that unmistakable mid-century tube tone, this 1970 Princeton Reverb is a beautifully preserved, ready-to-play piece of electric guitar history.

Shipping policy:
When you purchase this item you are hereby agreeing to this shipping policy. We remove tubes from amps that could be damaged in shipping.  These cases result in multiple box shipments, and they require the buyer to do some assembly on delivery.  We do this because we have experienced shipping issues in the past, and this is our prevention measure.  Vintage amps are sold as-is because they can need service intermittently.  Everything is tested here in our shop on the way into our inventory, and again before shipping.  We will cover shipping damage, but we cannot be responsible for the failure of vintage components in 20-to-50-plus year old amps. Shipments will require signature on delivery, no exceptions.  If there is damage, the buyer must retain all packing materials intact and picture them immediately and send them to sales@maharsvintageguitars.com.  Less than 1% of our shipments are damaged in transit, and we are committed to making sure your item arrives safely, but we are taking these additional measures to make sure you are happy with your purchase.
