Up for sale is a 1967 Fender Pro Reverb in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original two-button footswitch. Providing the general tonal character of a Twin Reverb, but boasting a tube rectifier and more manageable 40 watts of power, the Pro Reverb is a 2x12 amplifier with enough volume for large ensemble situations and the perfect balance between shimmering Black Panel cleans and smooth, touch-sensitive overdrive.

The circuit is extremely original, retaining all of the original blue molded Ajax capacitors which are a hallmark of the sweet, musical character of the Black Panel-era amps. The preamp features new small bias and bypass capacitors, as well as a couple Sprague Orange Drops. The stock Stackpole pots are all intact as well, with visible date codes from the 26th week of '66. All of the original transformers are present, manufactured by Schumacher (Fender's primary transformer supplier in the Black Panel era) dating between the 27th week of 1966 and the 20th week of '67. The power supply has been freshly recapped, and a modern three-prong power cable has been installed. The tube complement includes a matched pair of vintage small bottle General Electric 6L6 power tubes, along with a vintage General Electric UK-made GZ34 rectifier tube and a combination of modern and vintage valves in the preamp.

The speakers are a pair of era-correct Oxford 12T6 ceramic magnet 12" drivers. One Oxford dates to '67, and the other is slightly later, with a stickered date from '71. These speakers have clean black frames and blue Fender foil labels on the magnets, offering excellent wattage handling, also notable for being higher wattage than the 12L6 Oxfords more commonly seen in the Pro. The tube chart is intact inside the cabinet, with a "QG" stamp that translates to July of 1967.

The original smooth black tolex and silver sparkle grillcloth are both remarkably well-kept, and wear is limited to some requisite minor scuffs and marks on the enclosure edges. The stock hardware includes the original tilt back legs, chassis straps, corners, handle, and sphinx glides (feet).

The original two-button black footswitch is included
