Description

It's 1968 and the popularity of the venerable Stratocaster has tanked. The suits at CBS are ready to pull the plug and concentrate on Jaguars and something new to be called the "Marauder" (not to mention solid state amps). But Jimi Hendrix showed up and the Strat came back strong as ever. The result is plenty of 69's but good luck finding a 67 or 68. And why buy a 67 or 68 over a later one? Tonewise, they are more or less the same. But the classic Strat should have a nitrocellulose lacquer finish on both the neck and the body. 67's did. Some 68's did. Most 69's don't. This 68 looks like both the neck and body finished in the original nitro. Neck date is December 67. Condition is 8.5 with mostly a few chips around the edges. It could use a refret. Original trem arm and bridge cover are in the case as is some original paperwork and case key.
