Description

Summary: One of Fenders most iconic finishes, and easily the finish to receive the most criticism and equal defense of its unique beauty since its accidental conception the late 60’s. This particular example is in as near to mint condition as they can be found for its time. Made in the USA, and almost identical to as it was when it left the Fender factory in 1979, this Stratocaster simply looks, plays and sounds fantastic. It will ship with the original hard-shell case and tremolo bar.

Body: This Stratocaster body is made of solid ash.

Neck: This Stratocaster has a one piece, “C” shaped maple with bullet truss rod, 21 frets, 3-bolt neck and micro-tilt neck angle adjustment. Nut width-1 5/8”, Scale length-25 ½”

Pickups/Hardware: This guitar has the all original pickups with black covers, black knobs, 5-way switch and original nickel hardware.

Cosmetics: This Strat is in remarkably clean condition. The finish is immaculate in this very rare example. It has no signs of pick scratches on the top or pickguard. The only signs of notable wear are some buckle rash on the back plate and some slight discoloration on the back as a result of the instrument laying on something in the case for an extended length of time.(see last pic) The neck miraculously has no dings or blemishes. The frets have little to no signs of wear and no fret gouges. The frets have tons of life left in them.

Playability: This guitar has been set up by our in-house luthier and restrung with a new set of 10’s. The guitar plays fabulously up and down the fingerboard.

Modifications: N/A

Weight: 9 lbs, 8 oz.

Case: Will ship fully insured with the original Fender hardshell case.
