Description

1954 Fender Telecaster in excellent condition. This guitar is in all original condition and has no history of major repairs throughout its life thus far. Officially lasting from 1951 through late 1954, the iconic Blackguard set the standard for what we want a Telecaster to be. This exceptionally clean example is the classic configuration of a lightweight ash body covered in a thin butterscotch colored nitrocellulose lacquer finish, a black bakelite pickguard, a maple neck, and two single coil pickups. The variety of players and styles of music which have employed the blackguard telecaster is a testament to its versatility and elegant simplicity. The two original single coil pickups read 5.85k in the bridge position and 5.26k in the neck position. The bridge pickup has the bite and clarity that we all know and love while the neck pickup has an encompassing warmth that pickup builders aspire to to this day and very few can replicate. The neck is 1.61" wide at the nut with a profile of 0.91" at the 1st fret and 1.02" at the 12th fret. Weight is 7.34 lbs. Comes with the original hardshell case and bridge cover.
