1965 Fender Telecaster, Blonde. This guitar features a refinished body in Nitrocellulose Lacquer by Fiesta Finishes™. The neck is all original, with original finish, frets, tuners, etc. The neck is an early "Maple Cap" fingerboard, somewhat rare in '65.
The guitar has its original pickups, pots, tone cap, strap buttons, bridge, saddles, control plate, knobs, etc.
The pick guard is a replacement. The guitar was previously modified for a larger pickup in the neck position, and this was professionally repaired.
The serial number is 106XXX. The neck date is AUG 65, and the original finish is visible in the neck and bridge cavities. The original O.K. stamp, used only in '64 and '65 is intact. The guitar weighs 7 lbs. 11 oz. Neck measures .827" at 1st fret and .995" at 12th fret making this a nice, medium to full feeling neck in the hand, bigger than some of the thinner necks of the early 60's. Original neck pickup measures 7.3K Ohms, Original bridge pickup measures 6.9K Ohms.
The guitar ships in a cool vintage, non Fender case with green lining, in fair condition but perfectly functional.
This is a very nice '65 Tele, sounds a plays great, solid recommendation on this one.
