Here's a well played 1966 Telecaster in its original Candy Apple Red. The finish has held up very well considering how much it appears to have been played (no cowboy chords for this guy). It appears to be all original except for the bridge cover which is a Fender repro. The frets probably aren't original given the amount of player wear to the fingerboard. It plays great and it looks like it means business. There is some wear through the red lacquer showing the gold undercoat. The neck date is Oct. 66. It is the maple cap variety typical of the era. Being a 66, it has Kluson tuners and not those awful "F" tuners that showed up in 67. I've always considered 66 to be the end of the great Teles. CBS came in in 65 but they didn't mess with the Telecaster too much until 67. Original black no tail logo case.
