Description

For your consideration is this marvelous 1972 Fender Telecaster with rosewood fretboard, newer frets and a old body-only nitro refinish. Telecasters seem to be among my favorite electrics these days and this is a terrific vintage but still affordable example.

This guitar is serial number 326667 and has a neck date of February, 1972. It has an ash body which was refinished in nitro lacquer a long time ago. The pick-ups are original to the guitar. The electronics appear original, but the date codes on the pots are obscured by solder so they may not be. It has a maple neck with its original finish and depth measurements of .865" at the first fret increasing to .955" at the twelfth. It has a lovely dark rosewood fingerboard with newer medium frets which remain in very good condition. It is relatively light and weighs just 7.4 pounds (7 pounds, 6 ounces) and is nicely balanced when strapped on.

You don't see many rosewood fretboard Telecasters from this era. This guitar is a joy to play and hear and it served its prior owner very well for a very long time. It has a nice medium chunky neck profile that feels great and the guitar's light weight is easy on your shoulder. The original pickups sound superb, as evidenced by the brief sound sample I have included below.

This guitar is in very good condition. The refinished body is covered with very fine lacquer checking and lots of play wear, but it has a great vintage vibe. The newer frets remain in very good condition with years of play left in them. In comes in its original and well-worn black tolex case with the amp logo and orange interior (with no foul odors).

If you are going to invest in a Telecaster, this affordable classic warrants your consideration. Vintage vibe just drips from this great playing and great sounding Telecaster with its rosewood fingerboard. Click the 'Buy Now' button and make it yours!
