Some of our favorite Fender guitars come from the "transitional" period of 1965-66 and this 1966 model is a perfect example! Combing a rare custom-color "Candy Apple Red" finish with a maple cap neck, this guitar features a "transition logo", "Double-line" Kluson tuners, three-ply white pickguard, and the original hardshell Fender case. Lightweight and resonant, the maple-cap neck is the perfect medium-sized "C" shape making this an extremely comfortable guitar to play, while the original "Candy Apple Red" finish is in great shape. Custom Color guitars are increasingly hard to find in today's market, and examples with a maple cap neck seldom come up for sale.
