To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Fender Telecaster, the company launched a series of 12 Telebration Telecasters at the Winter 2011 NAMM show.
Each of the 12 guitars would be produced in a limited run.
The fourth guitar in the series was the Old Pine Telecaster. Originally to be called the Indian Barn Telecaster, it was to be made from salvaged Pine from a 100+ year old barn. But again like the Brown's Canyon Tele not enough wood of suitable quality could be used so other sources of old aged pine had to be found.
The Old Pine Telecaster was limited to just 300 guitars.
