1959 Fender Tremolux

Big box, exceptionally clean, 12” Jensen dated the the third week of 1959, “II” date code on intact tube chart. This model has everything you might want in dialing in a tweed amp. The perfect wattage, perfect weight, and near-perfect condition. This era (post-’57) is perhaps the best period for tweeds. Yes, the brown 1x12” is rarer but tweed has that crunching compression that excites the ear. The larger solid pine cabinet of this era adds that thump of bass that its cousin the Deluxe does not have. Then we had the head-and-cabinet period…simply love them but they take two trips to the car. ‘Nuff said. This amp is clean, clean, clean. We used our variac to bring it up slowly, so its healthy. With its original cover, almost new condition, this amp is one of our favorites. Consigned.
