Offered here is a Fender American Vintage Reissue '62 Stratocaster built way back in 1986. In all my years of trading guitars, I don't think I've never come across a 30+ year old instrument in as clean and original condition as this lovely Fiesta Red Stratocaster.
Fender guitars from this era were known to be made from older Fullerton factory parts and are coveted by many players and collectors because of their Custom Shop-like high quality. These guitars were built to very accurate vintage specs, so this guitar has a 7.25" fretboard radius and vintage style frets. The pickups are vintage output and is equipped with a 3-way switch as found on the original '62 version. The fretboard is a very dark, figured Rosewood that looks like Brazilian. The neck carve is thin by today's standards, but is faithful to the original upon which it is based. This neck has depth measurements of .82" at the first fret increasing to .90" at the twelfth fret. This guitars weighs a very light 7.4 pounds!
This guitar plays like a new Custom Shop guitar, but sounds like the vintage piece that it is. The low output single coils sound great to my old ears, sounding much less muddy and artificially over-wound than many current era pickups. Move the three-way switch into the "between" spots and it quacks more realistically than most any newer Strat you can find.
As noted above, the condition of this guitar is exemplary. The finish is rich and shines like a new instrument. It shows some very light clear coat checking in the body and some finish cracks around the neck plate, but that is it. The frets look like new too. All the parts appear original including the electronics and the solder points. It comes in what appears to be it's original 80's era tweed case, also in very nice condition, along with the trem arm, instruction manual and cleaning cloth.
If particularly well-preserved vintage Fenders appeal to you as they do to me, make this very special Stratocaster yours. You aren't likely to find a nicer example than this beauty!

Refunds of the original purchase price less shipping and a 10% restocking fee may be requested within 48 hours of delivery. Exchanges within one (1) week of the original date of purchase may be made for an item of equal or greater value at the discretion of Capital Guitars. Where permitted herein, items must be promptly returned at the buyer's expense, in the same condition as received with all accessories and paperwork included.
