1965 Fender Vibro Champ Black Modified for 10" speaker, nicely serviced

This 1965 Fender Vibro Champ is a loved example of a transition era black panel amp, delivering the warm, articulate tube tone that has made it a favorite among players and collectors alike. With 5 watts of all-tube power and a vibrato (tremolo) circuit, the Vibro Champ is renowned for its exceptional clarity, dynamic response, and rich harmonic breakup—perfect for home recording, practice, or small-stage use.
This amp has been modified to add a 10" speaker - an early 80s speaker, probably from a Super Reverb or a Rivera Era amp. The baffle was cut and the original grille cloth re-installed. The speaker really works well with the amp, giving you more of everything that this amp does well.
The electrolytic caps in the circuit were changed out when the amp arrived here. I swapped out the original capacitor can. I added a new power cable a well.
The full complement of original RCA tubes is intact - we tested them all to make sure they're good!

We do this because we have experienced shipping issues in the past, and this is our prevention measure. Vintage amps are sold as-is because they can need service intermittently. Everything is tested here in our shop on the way into our inventory, and again before shipping. We will cover shipping damage, but we cannot be responsible for the failure of vintage components in 20-to-50-plus year old amps. Shipments will require signature on delivery, no exceptions. If there is damage, the buyer must retain all packing materials intact and picture them immediately and send them to sales@maharsvintageguitars.com. Less than 1% of our shipments are damaged in transit, and we are committed to making sure your item arrives safely, but we are taking these additional measures to make sure you are happy with your purchase.
