1963 Fender BF Vibroverb

Fender made a few really outstanding blackface amps and the standout years, to me are 63-65. Among the best (and rarest) is the Vibroverb. Puts out around 35 watts through a single 15" speaker. 15" speakers were tremendously popular for guitar back in the 60's and early 70's but the emergence of Marshall and 4-12 cabinets eventually caused their popularity to fade. Now, they're back with folks who know just how much tone you can wring out a a good one. Vibroverbs often come with an optional JBL and I've got one if you prefer them. I think they sound better with the old Jensen C15 that was stock or the CTS 15 that came with some of them. It dropped a 61 C15N into this one and it sounds great. The cone has a small repair and is a little tired if you're going to get up near 8 or so but a re-cone is cheap ($75) or put your own 15 into it. This has some caps done but has its proper trannies all dated 63. I don't know about you but my days of hauling around a 4-12 cabinet are long over. A 15" will move a lot of air and get you some serious bottom (and who doesn't want that).
