Who remembers Danny Ferrington, and those great, so unusual-looking guitars he made and had made for him? Seems that they hardly ever come on the market these days, possibly because everyone who has one just won’t part with it. Well then here’s one for you, with a caveat. I’m told that at one point Ferrington had guitars made to his design by Kramer, and I do believe that this is one of them. Mostly. The neck is an earlier high-quality one made in Japan by ESP, says so right on it and it’s perfect, excellent maple with rosewood fingerboard and literally no fret wear. The body is Ferrington, all the way, ain’t no mistakin’ that look. What we have here therefore is a guitar that plays like an electric and sounds like an acoustic. Or plays like an acoustic and sounds like an electric. Or both. Take your pick. There’s a pretty darn hot active pickup system in it, no idea who made it but it’s one of the clearest-sounding ones I've ever heard, anywhere. No idea who put this together or when but here it is, in all its splendor, waitin’ to ride along with you. Just $495 w/bag
