Description

Oh what a marvelous little instrument! Offered is this near mint Froggy Bottom L Deluxe Koa built in 2014. The L is a 12-fret parlor-sized guitar built for frequent couch work. But don't let it's small size fool you; this little beauty offers sonic output far beyond it's diminutive size. Similar in size to a Martin 0, this guitar has a lower bout which measures 13" wide and the body length measures 19". It has a straight-grained Adirondack Spruce top and back and sides made from figured Koa with Froggy's 'Deluxe' cosmetic appointments. It has 24.75" neck scale, a 1.75" bone nut, bone nut saddle, 2 3/16" string spacing, ebony fret board and bridge, multi-color abalone rosette, backstrip and inlays and nickel Waverly tuners. The neck depth at the 1st fret measures a comfortable .840", increasing to .93" at the 12th.

I caught an acoustic set by Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull) several years ago and this Froggy gives forth the tone that I remember coming from the ancient Martin 0-21 that Ian was playing that evening. This guitar has a voice which is clear with rich mids and amazing output for such a comfortable to play little beauty.

While built in 2014, this guitar was sold just recently, in October of 2016 and the original owner paid almost $10K for it. It shows no evidence of play and could easily be sold as a new instrument. It comes with it's similarly mint original case, un-executed warranty card and the uninstalled pickguard.

Froggy Bottom guitars are instruments for a lifetime. If you haven't tried a Froggy, you are doing yourself a disservice. Or, if you have been looking for that perfect parlor-sized instrument for your arsenal, I can't imagine a much better guitar than this beautiful and virtually mint Froggy L. Love it......
