1953-1957 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop PAF Conversion

Conversion started with an original 1953 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop (S/N 3 0737) that had no breaks, cracks or repairs. Bought from the original owner, see pic.

Conversion work includes: neck reset, neck tenon changed to 4 degrees, plug and route for humbuckers, guitar weighs 8lbs 13 oz. Original Woods to the guitar that are: (mahogany body, maple top, mahogany neck, Holly headstock veneer, body binding). The original fingerboard was damaged beyond repair when someone tried to level it before a refret. A new Brazilian fingerboard with nitrate inlays and Royalite binding was installed.

Original Parts Include: Tuners, strap buttons, truss rod cover, switch & harness, 50’s Bumble Bee caps, 50’s Gibson Top Hat Knobs and Case. Pre T-Top Patent # Humbucker Pickups

Repro parts are: Callaham bridge with 2” brass studs, CreamTone featherweight tailpiece, Retrospec 1” bushings and 1-1/2" studs, Refret with Jescar fret wire (Gibson Reissue size), CTS Premium 500K Pots, Pickguard
