The X-braced B-25 sounds, looks, and feels like the slightly smaller brother to the J-45 or J-50.

This example is from the transitional year of 1965, when neck/nut widths changed to 1 9/16", with this one retaining the more desirable 1 11/16" nut.

The guitar was shipped with the ill-fated plastic bridge that must have caused some firings at the company. It has been replaced with a rosewood bridge and bone nut. The original bridge plate remains. The original bridge and saddle are included.

The neck is somewhat chunky. See the pics where we illustrate the shape with Stewart Macdonald's tool. We use this because we find that describing a neck shape is a subjective effort that requires the use of words that don't really mean anything in particular. Action is perfect, the truss rod is tested and effective. The back of the neck is nicely worn for a great feel.

The frets appear to have been replaced. Both the refret and the bridge work were done professionally and greatly benefit the instrument.

Condition is excellent or better with the only major sign of wear being the finish on the back. A couple areas were affected by sitting on a strap.

The chip case appears to be original to the guitar. It looks like the Gibson badge inside was removed or fell off.
