The original, revere-style body design for the Gibson Firebird was initially short lived. A brief return in '72 with the Medallion series was the only one offered until in 1976, as part of a celebration of Americas Bicentennial celebration. This new take on a classic featured an ABR-1 bridge and wrap around tail piece, but remained the same neck-thru construction with mini-humbucking pickups and a distinctive, red, white, and blue bird insignia on the pickguard. This 1976 model is all original with no breaks or repairs. It features a later hardshell case, great playing neck, and original banjo style tuners. An excellent vintage Firebird only offered for a brief period!
