This relatively new model from Gibson represents the realization of a new style of guitar manufacture. The CS-336F is built by carving a single block of mahogany to create the back, sides, and center block. This body is then mated to a single piece of maple which is carved to fit. This produces a very clear and precise tone, rich with harmonics and overtones. This particular CS-336F is in perfect, almost unplayed condition, and has a beautifully flamed top. The body is slightly smaller that the traditional ES-335 style, making it easy to play and comfortable to wear. Each CS-336F is adjusted to perfection on Gibson's Plek machine. The pick-ups are Gibson 57 Classics. Built at the Gibson Custom Shop in Memphis, this guitar represents a technological advancement and a great sounding and playing new model from Gibson.
