The Gibson Les Paul Special design remains a great example of "less is more" more than half a century following its introduction. It is a simple design that is still in demand and is regularly copied by other builders to this today. Like the original, this 2010 reissue of this iconic guitar model is made entirely of Mahogany and is finished in TV Yellow lacquer. This one has a big chunky round 50's neck shape with depth measurements of .930" at the first fret increasing to 1.00" at the twelfth fret. It weighs just 7.4 pounds and is balanced perfectly, sitting or hung. Play it and you immediately note how acoustically resonant this instrument is and it plays superbly. The tone from the P-90 pickups is fat and woody and immediately recognizable as that of a Les Paul guitar. This guitar has received light VOS aging at the Gibson factory. It is all original with no repairs and is in very good to excellent condition. It shows just a few small scuffs and such (see photo), but nothing major. The heavy "banjo" style frets show just very light wear and have years of play left in them. It comes in its original Gibson Custom case along with the certificate of authenticity and hang tags. Shipping to Continental US addresses is via FedEx Ground, with flat rate shipping of $60 to Eastern time zones, $70 Central and $80 Mountain/Pacific. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is $100. A phone number at the shipping destination is required. Other shipping services, including express services and international shipping are available at our discretion, just contact us for a quote.
Refunds of the original purchase price less shipping and a 10% restocking fee may be requested within 48 hours of delivery. Exchanges within one (1) week of the original date of purchase may be made for an item of equal or greater value at the discretion of Capital Guitars. Where permitted herein, items must be promptly returned at the buyer's expense, in the same condition as received with all accessories and paperwork included. Sale items, purchases that are made via layaway, those involving trades and/or international shipping are considered final except upon an error by and at the discretion of Capital Guitars.
