2018 Gibson Custom SG Standard "Bohemian" Spice
Offered is this wonderful Gibson Custom Shop SG Standard which that was part of a limited "Bohemian" series of guitars produced in 2018. These came in five different shades and only twenty (20) of each color were produced. This is one very nice SG.
The specs of this guitar are "standard" Custom Shop '60 Reissue SG fare, but with just a few key improvements that were unique to this model. First, it comes with some great pickups; a set of "Super 74" humbuckers. These pick ups are slightly underwound with average outputs of 7.1K and 7.2K ohms, at the neck and bridge respectively, per Gibson. They sound great and I've heard that sets of these hard to find humbuckers sell for $550. Gibson also gave this limited run guitar a set of nicely aged and incredibly stable Grover tuners to help cure the tuning issues SG's are known for. As previously noted, these limited guitars came in five great custom finishes, some glossy and others, like this guitar, with light factory aging. This guitar has a nice walnut-like red/brown finish called "Spice". The aging this guitar received is very well done giving it the look and feel of a very lightly played vintage piece.
This beautiful SG weighs just 7.0 pounds and is nicely balanced. The relatively wide-feeling SG neck measures .825" at the first fret increasing to .945" at the 12th which I think is just about average for Custom Shop SG's. It plays like butter and sounds like an SG should. Check out the brief sound sample provided below. If you like SG's, you will absolutely love this example!
This 2018 guitar is in near mint condition (albeit with light factory aging) and the frets show no observable wear. It comes in it's original Custom Shop case along with the certificate of authenticity and hang tags. A superb Custom Shop SG!

Shipping to Continental US addresses is via FedEx Ground, with flat rate shipping of $60 to Eastern time zones, $70 Central and $80 Mountain/Pacific. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is $100. Refunds of the original purchase price less shipping and a 10% restocking fee may be requested within 48 hours of delivery. Exchanges within one (1) week of the original date of purchase may be made for an item of equal or greater value at the discretion of Capital Guitars. Where permitted herein, items must be promptly returned at the buyer's expense, in the same condition as received with all accessories and paperwork included. Sale items, purchases that are made via layaway, those involving trades and/or international shipping are considered final except upon an error by and at the discretion of Capital Guitars.
