2014 Collector's Choice #30 "Gabby" 1959 Les Paul Aged Model
This Collector's Choice #30 "1959 Les Paul Aged" model is a reproduction of a 1959 Les Paul "Gabby" in remarkably clean condition with almost no discoloration from the original production color.
The reddish color is called "Gibson Appraisal Burst" for it was certified by Gibson and Vic Da Pra, a world-renowned burst collector, as "the best-preserved original burst", and the nickname "Gabby" is derived from the abbreviation.
The maple top was selected from a wood grain close to the original, and the neck shape and top curve were 3D scanned to accurately reproduce the original.
The pickups are equipped with two custombuckers.
The reddish color on the body back and neck has faded considerably, and there is a crack around the rear volume, which may not be due to aging treatment.
There is almost no fret wear and the neck and truss rod are both in good condition.
