Custom Shop 2014 Historic Collection Firebird V VOS
The "Firebird V VOS" model features a rare ebony black finish and a stop tailpiece like Johnny Winter's favorite instrument.
Featuring a uniquely shaped body and head designed by automotive designer Ray Dietrich, this Firebird is the first Gibson to use a through-neck construction, said to provide rich sustain, and features a 9-ply mahogany and walnut neck with a glued-in mahogany wing.
The neck has a rounded, slightly thicker shape, and the pickups are equipped with two original Mini-Humbuckers.
The pickguard has been replaced. It is in very good condition with no noticeable damage other than some very shallow scuffs.
There is almost no fret wear, and there are no problems with the neck condition or truss rod operation.
