Gibson Custom Shop 2021 Murphy LAB 1959 Les Paul Light Aged

This "1959 Les Paul Custom Ultra Heavy Aged" has been aged by the new Murphy Lab, a new team specialising in aging led by renowned aging expert Tom Murphy.

This is the second lowest of the four stages of aging levels in the Murphy Lab collection and is a relatively light 'Light Aged' finish, meaning that the fine weather checks and dents on the edges have been reproduced throughout.

The well-proportioned and beautifully flamed maple is finished in a not-too-bright cherry sunburst, and the fingerboard is made of dark shade rosewood.

The all hide-gluing and parts have been carried over from the True Historic era, with vintage taper pots and bumblebee type oil capacitors.

The neck is an Authentic 59 Medium "C", a shape introduced in 2018, and is very slightly thinner than earlier '59 models.

The pickups are equipped with un-potted Custombucker.

The guitar is in very good condition with little sign of wear, not much fret wear and no problems with the neck and truss rod.
