Gibson Custom Shop 2023 Murphy LAB 1959 Les Paul Light Aged
This "1959 Les Paul Light Aged" was aged by Murphy Lab, a team specializing in aging led by Tom Murphy, a leading expert in the field of aging.
The "Light Aged" finish is the second-lightest of the four levels of aging stages available in the Murphy Lab Collection, and it reproduces the fine weather checks to the entire body and dents to the edge.
The wide-grained flame maple is finished in green lemon fade.
The all hide-gluing and parts have been carried over from the True Historic collection, with vintage taper pots and bumblebee type oil capacitors.
The neck is an Authentic 59 Medium "C" shape, a shape adopted since 2018 and very slightly thinner than earlier '59 models.
The pickups are equipped with un-potted Custombuckers.
It is in excellent condition with little signs of use, not much fret wear, and no problems with the neck and truss rod.
