Description

Impossibly gorgeous 58 ES-335 blonde. It's an early one, so the neck is unbound and the neck angle is shallow. The original low profile ABR-1 bridge collapsed and disappeared long ago. Gibson replaced them with shaved full height bridges and this has one of those (no wire ABR-1). The top is a stunning piece of birdseye maple. This guitar has been played it's entire life-no case queens here. The neck was pretty badly worn and chewed up from stands and capos so I had it refinished in proper nitrocellulose lacquer. PAFs have complete stickers and black light correctly. The guitar shows wear and fine checking all over. Being a thin top, the usual stress cracks appear by the jack. When I had the neck done, I had the luthier reinforce the jack from the inside so no worries about it getting worse. All parts (except the bridge) are original. This guitar had a floating Bigsby at some point so no holes in the top and three filled holes at the end pin. It also had Grovers at some point but has no extra holes. Brown Gibson badged case.
