Here's a later 59 with a medium neck profile that was previously owned by Joe Satriani and, as I was told, used for a number of his recordings. There is signed paperwork from Mr. S. I know, add a buck to the price. The larger point here is that someone like Mr. Satriani isn't going to own a guitar that doesn't play really well and sound great. And, since he owned this guitar for quite a long time, you may assume it is all that and more. C'mon, it's a 59 dot neck-the best semi hollow guitar ever made. The tuners are repro but the originals are in the case with shrunken tips-typical of a 59. It has been re-fretted (brilliantly, I might add). Both volume pots have been changed but I will include a couple of 59 pots if you want to put it back to stock. The replacements are Centralabs as are the originals. Everything else is original. PAFs are sealed and measure 8.41K and 8.15K. Some like it hot. All parts are original other than those mentioned. There is some wear to the back of the neck and some checking mostly on the front. This is a very bright and lively example. Light weight too at 7 lbs, 7 ounces. The notes seem to jump out of the guitar. The brown with pink Gibson badged case is in great condition.
