Description

In your gut, you really, really want a 59. You know you shouldn't spend that much on a guitar but your gut isn't wrong. A 59 will outperform every other year as an investment. You can take that to the bank. If you buy that presumably more economical 63 and the market tanks, you won't lose so much right? Wrong. In the event of a weakened market, what year do you think will hold up best? Answer: The one everybody wants. And that's a 59. I don't make up the rules when it comes to human nature. Go ahead, buy the 63. I'm sure it's a really nice guitar. It's only flaw is that it isn't a 59. So, loosen up those purse strings and don't tell the wife or, if you must, tell her what a great investment it is and how a year ago it was a $45,000 guitar and now it's a $60,000 guitar. You want a 59? Buy a 59. You aren't getting any younger. Don't you deserve a 59? Oh, you want this one? OK. It's a later 59 with the medium chunky neck profile (.85" at the first and .97" at the 12th). Sealed PAFs and all original. It had Schallers at some point but the holes are properly filled. No wire ABR-1, short seam lightweight stop tail, long guard. Finish shows moderate, fine checking. Sunburst is vibrant and very attractive with some lovely figure in the top. Impossibly hot PAFs at 9.75K and 8.62K. This is very aggressive 335. Lightweight at 7 lbs 10 ounces. Nice original brown case.
