1960 ES 335---Please read entire description
This 1960 ES 335 stereo guitar, in exceptional condition in tobacco sunburst was factory special ordered with Variatone, which has been bypassed for mono gigging. This axe has the thin flat “D” neck of 1960, which is super-fast and has two (2) wonderful sounding original PAF’s with neck pickup being 7.4 and the bridge pickup 7.9. This beauty came from the factory with “Patent Applied For” Grover tuners as well as the Brazilian fretboard, inlays, knobs, frets etc., all original with Bigsby and two pearl dots. I have replaced the Bigsby and took off my on a Montreux stop bar ad 50's studs.

The guitar is for sale as is with Bigsby only and the POTS we put in this summer.

This guitar was refined from tobacco sunburst to tobacco sunburst in early to mid-80’s by then renowned luthier Ronnie DiMarino on Long Island. Ronnie is the fellow who put the Charlie Cristian pick up in Lennon’s LP Junior and was well renowned in the NYC & Metro back in the day. Looks terrific as pics indicate.
This past summer a couple of the pots went bad, so we replaced them with modern 500k pots. The guitar is in full working order as is, and sounds great, but I won’t play it anymore now that I got my Rusty Anderson 59’ profile 335. I have had this guitar going on 20 years and I hear no difference between 60’ pots and new pots…and I gig with this guitar as well. Comes with an Epiphone hard shell case, which I bought to reduce the chance of theft at a gig. Guitar As you see is in exceptional condition and well cared and smoke free.
The guitar is for sale as is with PAF’s for $16k or without PAF’s for $12k. No trades unless it is something I can’t resist like a 63, 64, 65 player grade big neck 335 or 345 with original parts. This guitar has been on display at my NY Guitar Expo on many occasions too. Questions 516-435-8382
