You know what used to be common and is now a true rarity? Original owner guitars from the Golden Era. Folks who bought them brand new from 58 to 64 are now well into their 70's and 80's and have either already sold them off or have handed them down to sons and daughters. Too bad because original owner guitars are the only ones that can ever have a true history (and even some of these don't because old folks, like me, forget stuff. This early 63 comes from it's original owner who bought it in 1963 when he was 14. It rarely left the house for nearly 70 years. It came as a stop tail but the dealer installed (fortunately) a Bigsby B6 which has no top screws-so no snakebite only three holes at the butt end. The guitar is in 9+ (near mint) condition. It has no checking at all, one little ding near the controls on the top, couple of not deep scuffs (you could buff them out) on the back and not much else. It is stunningly clean. Another unusual feature..,.two PAFs. Unusual in a 63. The case is unusual-it is a brown case with a red/orange lining. I would swap in a vintage correct black case but I know for a fact that the brown one is the one it came with. You call, I have both. I don't think there is a PAF 335 listed that is anywhere near the condition of this 63. Original frets in excellent condition and all original parts.
