Description

I always like it when a guitar has a bit of known history. This 61 ES-345 copies with a letter from the original owner along with photos of the owner with his band (and this guitar). Being a somewhat vain guy, like most guitar players, he put his name on the guard and on the headstock. You can live with it, change the guard and remove the little name plate from the headstock (its glued on) or you can always change your name to Don Gillespie. Perfectly good name-probably better than the one you have. Anyway, it's an early 61 345 converted to 335 spec. The original harness is intact and in the case if you want to take it back to factory spec stereo. Original PAFs (one is missing the sticker) and all original parts except for the tailpiece which is newer. The guitar had a B3 style Bigsby on it-the one that doesn't leave holes in the top. There are four screw holes by the butt end strap button. The neck profile is quite slim but as wide as a six lane freeway. Plenty of room to play. Killer tone and light weight at 7 lbs 4 ounces.
