1959 Gibson ES-355 Mono Red, Very Good, Original Hard, $44,000.00

The typical comment about a particularly rare guitar is "find another". This one is pretty rare and if somebody tells you to "find another", your options are limited. Gibson made only 3 of these in 59. I know where two of the three are. One is in the hands of a collector and the other is right here with me. Stereo 59's are hard to find. Mono 59's are harder. Stop tail 59's are almost impossible. I've seen three. One mono, one stereo and now this one. There is one other, so if you miss this one, you're on your own. 100% original except for the frets and one saddle. This one spent its life in some very smoky bars so the bindings are heavily yellowed. Condition is very good with no breaks, repairs or touchups anywhere. Checking all over.
