1976 Gibson Explorer Natural

Natural, original Tarback pickups and 1976 pots. The moment U2 broke out in 1976 the Edge had bought his ’76 Explorer while on vacation in NYC. David Evans aka The Edge has used his 1976 Explorer on every studio record and tour. His sonic textures are famous. His use of echo, drone notes and rhythms made millions of players sit up and take notice.

This is all original except for a couple of holes from a removed guitar synth pickup. The two plugged holes are near the bridge. Someone had also placed a strap button on the heel. The gold strap buttons appear original. It has the early back of headstock sticker with the serial number and Explorer Made In USA. In case you didn’t know what this wacky shaped guitar was Called. This is really cool and comes with the original hard case.
