1958 Gibson Flying V. A holy grail golden-era Gibson with a near-mythical status! The radical design of the korina Flying V, created in 1957, was far ahead of its time and didn’t catch on until long after the instrument was out of production, leaving us with a very few instruments produced. This example plays beautifully with a comfortably rounded ’50s neck profile and is lightweight and resonant with a very immediate feel and warm sustain. The guitar suffered a slight neck heel crack and was reinforced with a pair of wood screws long ago by the original owner. Otherwise all original and in great shape. The original PAF pickups sing producing a clear, detailed and punchy tone with incredible sensitivity. An outstanding instrument and rare opportunity for vintage Gibson enthusiasts! Includes original hardshell case.
