If you've seen the Poinsettia Ukulele we have in stock, you've seen one of Gibson's rarest and most sought after ukes. Now we bring you this one-of-a-kind piece that should attract plenty of attention from you who watch the ukulele market.

The instrument came to me at a recent guitar show. When I saw the case I knew it contained something cool from the 20s or 30s. When I opened it I immediately brought it over to the Poinsettia uke and noticed that the fretboard inlays are remarkably similar. I made the purchase - I had to have it!

The ukulele garnered praise from Larry Briggs, Eric Schoenberg, Larry Cragg - some of our guitar show friends and neighbors and people who have seen it all when it comes to vintage instruments. None had seen anything like it.

A rare instrument is something to behold. One in this condition is what we and instrument collectors live for. The uke is crack, repair and issue-free - a remarkable thing for a nearly 100 year old piece. It appears that it was rarely, if ever, played.

The instrument is likely to have been a custom order. The label inside looks original, a diamond shaped, gold diamond that is monogrammed with the name Fred. J. Gracia.

The headstock bears the Gibson logo that became standard in 1932, preceded by "The Gibson" headstock inlays as seen on the Poinsettia ukulele.

Other distinct features include the beautiful inlaid bridge, unique to this instrument. The top, back, and sound hole are all bound and adorned with a look as though someone conceived of the Bedazzler way earlier than we thought. The headstock received similar treatment.

The finish over the mahogany body and neck is in excellent condition. It of course shows checking, but it is deep and lustrous.

Many come to us for electric guitars and tweed amps, but as you can see, we have a real knack for the rare and unusual from many categories!
