1963 Gibson GA 19 Brown Serviced including "Tone Suck" mod
These 1960s Gibson Falcon GA 19RVT amps can really deliver with a little work. The secret is out.
Formerly considered the ugly duckling of Gibson amp history, it is now known that these amps can really roar if they are modded slightly from original spec. Gibson introduced changes to the amp in this era to try to get it to offer a louder clean tone. This is understandable I suppose, as their guitars are typically humbucker loaded and tend to hit an amp harder.
However, with simple and reversible work, the amp opens up and reverts to more of a 50s Fender Deluxe tone, but with reverb and tremolo!
This amp has original transformers and the original speaker. I replaced electrolytic caps and added a grounded power cable. We tested all the tubes, cleaned the pots and tube sockets too.
This amp is ready to roll!

When you purchase this item you are hereby agreeing to this shipping policy. We remove tubes from amps that could be damaged in shipping. These cases result in multiple box shipments, and they require the buyer to do some assembly on delivery.
